Position Summary:  The HSE Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, security, and environmental programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HSE policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Provide HSE training and support to employees.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
  • Lead sustainability initiatives to minimize environmental impact and promote resource conservation.
  • Coordinate emergency response plans and procedures to ensure preparedness for potential incidents.
  • Implement and maintain the RC14001 management system to ensure continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental performance.
  • Work closely with a diverse team of professionals who are passionate about safety and sustainability.
  • Foster a collaborative environment where team members support each other and share knowledge.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and innovative solutions.
  • Engage in cross-functional projects with other departments to enhance overall company performance.

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HSE role in an industrial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and training skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
  • Certification in HSE (e.g., CSP, CIH) is preferred.
