AdvanSix is a leading manufacturer of Nylon 6, a polymer resin used by customers to produce engineered plastics, fibers, filaments and films. Position Description:

This intern will observe Instrument and Electrical Maintenance shop activities which include instrumentation testing, inspection, calibration, troubleshooting, installation, wiring, programming transmitters and control equipment and routine maintenance.  They will also assist maintenance planners in post-job reviews and help identify, through root cause analysis, why jobs were delayed or unable to be performed as designed. This role will also assist in other areas of the jobsite as required and perform administrative duties in the maintenance shop.     

 

Structured Development: 

  • Getting acquainted with the Plant – equipment, valves, pumps, general information, understanding processes. 
  • Development of project-oriented tasks that align with the Intern’s current educational goals
  • At conclusion, report on key learnings, project accomplishments and open tasks for handoff
