Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated HR & Communications Intern to support our Total Rewards and Communications teams. This internship provides hands-on experience in internal communications, employer brand, employee engagement, HR systems and total rewards. The ideal candidate is a digital/platform thinker with a passion for enhancing the employee experience through modern tools, data and coordinated cross-functional efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Value Proposition: Partner with Internal Communications, Brand, Talent Acquisition, and Total Rewards to develop and package a comprehensive and compelling Employee Value Proposition to amplify the AdvanSix employee story. Support research, messaging development, and cross-functional alignment efforts to ensure the EVP is integrated across employee and candidate touchpoints to ensure a strong understanding of our culture and the investment we make in our employees.
- Compensation and Benchmarking: Assist in compensation benchmarking survey to ensure competitive pay structures in line with business and talent needs.
- HRIS: Support the documentation of HR processes and the development of standardized operating procedures to further enhance efficiency and the employee experience.
- Employee engagement and communications: Conduct a comprehensive market review of next-generation tools and platforms for employee engagement and internal communications. Part of this assessment will be engaging with our current communications content tools, including drafting and posting content on existing channels
- Brand Integration and Digital Systems: Coordinate with the Brand and IT teams to support the successful rollout and adoption of a digital asset management system.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and HR information systems.
- Ability to analyze data and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Passion for communications, HR, employee engagement, and workplace culture.
