Position Summary: The Process Safety Transition Leader will provide support to our sites as they transition their programs from legacy standards to current standards. Additionally, this role will support RMP-covered facilities as they implement the new Risk Management Program Safer Communities by Chemical Accident Prevention Final Rule.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Site Transition
- Implement Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) procedures for revalidations.
- Transition sites to Management of Change (MOC) process in the platform.
- Update site programs to meet additional requirements of the Process Safety Management program.
- Align risks at the sites with the updated Risk Assurance process.
- Support completion of recommendations from the 2023 PSM Compliance Audits.
- EPA Risk Management Program
- Develop plan for new requirements with regards to backup power for safeguards.
- Prioritize inherently safer technology or design, passive measures, active measures, and procedural measures for RMP sites in the Risk Assurance process.
- Develop third party audit program for RMP covered sites.
- Update and implement changes to STOP work as required under the new RMP rules.
- Develop a process for enhanced information availability.
- Work with sites in planning for emergency response exercises with local responders.
- Other items
- Support sites as a PHA Leader when needed.
- Mentor PSM Team members as an SME.
- Support ACC and other industry groups.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or relevant working experience.
- 10+ years industry experience.
- 8+ years in a Process Safety role.
Additional Qualifications:
- Six Sigma Training.
- PHA Facilitator.
