Andrew “Andy” Girvin is the Vice President of Asset Management for AdvanSix. He leads the evolution of the company’s asset management approach and strategy across all sites with a keen focus on optimizing the performance of the company’s physical production assets through strategic capital planning, disciplined project execution, turnaround governance and maintenance execution.
Andy also oversees Hopewell, AdvanSix’s largest manufacturing site. He is responsible for worker safety, environmental safety and compliance, project and facility cost and production and procedure. Through the incredible challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Andy kept operations running with the plant never shutting down.
He has worked for AdvanSix and its legacy companies for 30 years, holding roles on the operations, supply chain and capital engineering teams. Andy received a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Virginia and an MBA from the College of William and Mary. He is an active member of the Hopewell community, serving as president of the Hopewell Manufacturers Association and a Member of the Board for the Virginia Manufacturers Association. He also sits on the Commission for Hopewell Water Renewal and is a member of the Hopewell Rotary.
