For complete safety and handling information, please refer to the appropriate material safety datasheet or contact us.
Caprolactam
Like other organic chemicals, caprolactam should always be handled, stored and used with every precaution against fire. Fires involving caprolactam can be extinguished using water spray, dry chemical, foam or carbon dioxide methods. Only essential, trained personnel should be in the area during a caprolactam fire.
Acetone
Acetone is an extremely flammable liquid and vapor. Containers of acetone should be protected against physical damage and stored in a cool, dry, well-ventilated location, away from any potential fire hazard areas. These containers should be bonded and grounded for transfers to avoid static sparks, and stored outside or in a detached facility whenever possible.
Phenol
Phenol should only be used in a well-ventilated area. In general, avoid any physical contact with this material, especially eye contact. It is important to always wash hands thoroughly after handling phenol. As with other organic chemicals, it is important to carefully store this product with flammability in mind. Phenol may form an ignitable vapor-air mixture in closed tanks or containers, and may accumulate static electricity even when transferred into properly grounded containers.

Naxol® Cyclohexanol
Naxol® cyclohexanol is a combustible material that should be handled, stored and used away from any flame source. Since cyclohexanol vapors travel with air currents, flames and sparks at remote locations on-site can ignite them. Clothes worn near cyclohexanol can retain the chemical, so do not expose any clothing used around it to flames or sparks. Cyclohexanol should not be exposed to strong oxidizing agents, as it can react violently with nitric acid and may cause uncontrolled decomposition that can result in an explosion or fire.
Alpha Methylstyrene (AMS)
Alpha methylstyrene (AMS) is a flammable liquid and vapor. High temperatures, inhibitor depletion, accidental impurities, or exposure to radiation or oxidizers may cause a spontaneous polymerizing reaction that generates heat and pressure, and vapors may form an explosive mixture with air. AMS vapors can be heavier than air, and may travel along the ground to a distant source of ignition and flash back. It can obtain an electrostatic charge during processing activities, such as storage, mixing, filtering or pumping. Keep this material in a cool, well-ventilated place and eliminate all sources of ignition. Be sure to bond and ground containers when transferring AMS.
Nadone® Cyclohexanone
Nadone® cyclohexanone is combustible in liquid and vapor form. Cyclohexanone vapors travel with air currents, so flames and sparks at remote locations on-site can ignite them and cause an explosion. Clothes worn near cyclohexanone can retain the chemical, so do not expose any clothing used around it to flames or sparks. Cyclohexanone should not be exposed to strong oxidizing agents, as it may cause uncontrolled decomposition that can result in an explosion or fire.
Methyl Ethyl Ketoxime (MEKO)
Methyl ethyl ketoxime (MEKO) is a combustible liquid. Store it in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area suitable for flammable liquids. Keep MEKO away from strong acids and oxidizers, and ensure containers are upright and tightly closed at all times. MEKO should be kept away from heat, open flames, acids and oxidizers. Always vent MEKO containers before opening them.
