It all starts with Chesterfield. AdvanSix Chesterfield is one of the largest U.S. producers of nylon resin, a key ingredient in things that touch people’s lives every day, like the packaging for food at the grocery store, the carpet under your feet and even the engineered plastics in your car. We are proud of our manufacturing legacy and our operations, like our recently updated R&D center. Our hardworking, innovative team strives to be a good partner and give back to the community where we live and work. We are active volunteers with Rebuilding Together Richmond and regularly support organizations like the Salvation Army and the local food pantry among others. At our site, we are committed to delivering the high-quality products that our customers can rely upon through safe, stable and sustainable operations.

The AdvanSix Chesterfield facility is one of the largest U.S. producers of nylon 6 resins, and produces Aegis® Nylon 6 resin, which is used in the production of carpet fiber, molded parts for automobiles, cord for fish nets, and plastic for food and consumer packaging and pharmaceutical applications. Nylon 6 is made from caprolactam, a precursor to nylon made at the AdvanSix Hopewell, Va., facility.
