Position Summary: The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and executing supply and inventory plans that align with demand, operational constraints, and established inventory targets. This role supports the Sales and Operations Planning (SIOP) process by providing supply inputs, executing agreed-upon plans, and ensuring alignment across scheduling, inventory, and cross-functional teams.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Execute and maintain the monthly SIOP (Sales Inventory and Operations Planning) and all associated initiatives to achieve on time shipments to meet internal and external needs
· Support and expand on all opportunities to level load the plan to drive improvements in inventory, on-time-delivery, fulfillment, cycle time, capacity management, and growth
· Monitor and oversee finite scheduling
· Responsible for plant and third-party terminal inventories; must be able to accurately reconcile all locations and tie them together
· Own and facilitate the Inventory Record Accuracy (IRA) metric and understand the Material Usage Variance and Production financial impacts
· Facilitate tag-up meetings/calls with Product Managers, Sales, Customer Service, Finite Schedulers and/or other Planners to provide insight and direction for specific inventories
· Manage competing demands and priorities and put a high priority on attaining results
· Work closely with sales and finite schedulers to balance internal needs versus customer needs
· Responsible for maintaining planning master data at the site, e.g. lead times, bill of materials and production versions
· Liaise between many departments, e.g., procurement, logistics, finance, sales/commercial, and plant operations
· Organize monthly meetings with key supply chain internal and external stake holders including Vessel Owners, Terminal management, and Raw Material Suppliers
· Lead Raw Materials call with Procurement and Site Planners
· Execute inventory strategies to maintain appropriate inventory targets and/or Days of Supply
· Own and maintain the forecasting tools and spreadsheets; automate files to save time and increase planning accuracy
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, supply chain, or related field or equivalent organizational experience
· Six Sigma Greenbelt certification preferred
· 5+ years of experience in supply chain or production scheduling
Additional Qualifications:
· Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
· Experience developing processes and procedures
· Knowledge of chemical and/or refining industry
· In-depth knowledge of SAP a strong plus
· Finance and/or accounting knowledge a plus
· Knowledge of sales and operations planning processes, inventory record accuracy, and material usage variance
· Understanding of 24-hour bulk production facilities
The base rate range for this role is, $77,800 to $116,600 annually.
