Position Summary: 

Provide the facility with all maintenance services ensuring work is planned and scheduled in a manner that maximizes maintenance efficiency and ensures the most economical and safe utilization of manpower and materials on a day-to-day operation as well as long-range.  Additionally, plan and oversee installation and maintenance of instrumentation and electrical systems in the plant and provide direct supervision for I/E technicians/contractors.  

Summary of the Main Responsibilities: 

  • Assure the soundness of principles and design of electrical/instrumentation systems for reliability and maintainability. 
  • Supervise the electrical/instrumentation function of the department to assure effective and reliable maintenance by personnel. 
  • Plan and coordinate mechanical and electrical/instrumentation work during turnarounds for efficient maintenance of equipment on time and within budget. 
  • Identify and propose mechanical and electrical/instrumentation projects to improve reliability of equipment and systems. 
  • Manages and Supports Digital Control Systems (DCS) for Operations and Maintenance activities.

Required Qualifications: 

  • B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or degree in Electrical /Electronic Engineering Technology.  
  • 5-10 years of chemical plant experience working in electrical infrastructure and/or instrumentation.

Overview of the Team: You will be leading a team of 3 I/E Technicians and working closely with Maintenance, Reliability and Operations resources for the safe execution of electrical and instrumentation activitiesExcellent communication and organizational skills are a must to plan, coordinate and execute safe instrumentation and electrical activities to support production planYou must be able to drive performance and influence other resources who do not directly work for you.
