Michael Preston

Michael has served as senior vice president and chief financial officer of AdvanSix since 2016, with global responsibility for controllership, treasury, investor relations, procurement, supply chain, tax, and financial planning and analysis. 

Upon joining AdvanSix, Michael worked to establish the foundational functions, policies and procedures required to meet all finance compliance requirements as a newly formed public company. Through his leadership, AdvanSix developed robust financing relationships and processes to efficiently manage cash and debt levels, which has provided the available funding capacity for value enhancing investments as well as the return of cash to shareholders. 

Previously, Michael held various finance roles with Honeywell, where he drove record performance while enhancing the company’s financial reporting and learning programs during his 15-year tenure. Prior to joining Honeywell in 2001, he held roles in investor relations consulting. Michael is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter holder and received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from St. John’s University. He is also a member of the CFA Institute and CFA Society of New York.
