Sarah Waller is the Vice President and General Manager of Chemical Intermediates – Emerging Chemistries. She joined AdvanSix in July 2021 and has 20 years of experience in the chemical manufacturing industry. An advocate of building strategies based on customer intimacy and market opportunity, Sarah leads the Emerging Chemistries business, driving innovative growth opportunities in new market applications in electronics, pharmaceuticals, paints and coatings and other diverse end markets.
Sarah has deep chemical industry knowledge and breadth and depth of experience in global business leadership, sales and marketing, strategy, and business development. Prior to her business leadership role in Emerging Chemistries, Sarah led the Nylon Solutions business at AdvanSix, where she led the transformation of the business to a customer-centric model supported by operational excellence and market intimacy. Before joining AdvanSix, Sarah was the Director of Global Technology Services as W.R. Grace, where she designed and executed the commercialization strategy for a new business model.
Prior to that role, she held multiple commercial roles focused on organic growth. She began her career in operations with roles at Kodak and Chemical and Metal Industries. She is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt and earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and a Master of Business Administration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at Arizona State University.
