Does landscape position have any effect on sulfur availability?

Answer:

Yes, it is common to observe differences in sulfur distribution across fields. This is often due to variations in soil texture and organic matter levels within a field. Differences are almost to be expected in the case of rolling fields. Plants growing on the top and sides of a slope are more likely to show sulfur deficiency symptoms than plants growing at lower positions, which are less eroded and higher in organic matter.
