Position Summary: The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for providing premier customer service to internal and external customers with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills to manage high volumes of orders and issues and effectively problem-solve on a daily basis.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide premier customer service for products for external customers
  • Provide extensive external and internal customer contact through order handling and problem solving
  • Work with US/Export contacts to fulfill both domestic and international customer orders
  • Understand the domestic and export process and shipping requirements
  • Act as primary point of contact for customer buyers
  • Function in a team environment, providing back-up and assistance when needed, without being asked
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers and other team members, company business contacts, and supply chain personnel
  • Maintain an effective two-way communication with the business
  • Be proactive in handling customer orders and problem-solving
  • Provide premier customer service for products for external customers
  • Provide extensive external and internal customer contact through order handling and problem solving
  • Act as the first level of SAP support for AdvanSix CSRs
  • Provide emergency coverage during unexpected team absences
  • Perform SAP testing as needed
  • Function in a team environment, providing back-up and assistance when needed, without being asked
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal customers and other team members, company business contacts, and supply chain personnel
  • Maintain an effective two-way communication with the business
  • Be proactive in handling customer orders and problem-solving
  • Be able to manage the full order to delivery process (order entry, terminal stock transfers, truck loading schedule, and tending to carriers).

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • College degree or commensurate experience in chemicals customer service
  • ERP experience required SAP (6.0) sales and distribution experience strong preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with SAP

  • Must be a self-starter; able to work independently and in a team environment
