Position Summary:

The Mechanical Integrity Reliability Leader role is responsible for ensuring compliance with our inspection procedures for stationary equipment throughout the Hopewell facility as well as ensuring repair recommendations from those inspections are completed in a timely manner.  The MI Reliability Leader leads a strong group of mechanical engineers, a planner, a front-line supervisor, and an imbedded group of contractors that are certified inspectors and NDE testing team. They work with many different groups across the plant to drive improvements to OEE and Safe, Stable, and Sustainable operations.

Summary of the Main Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the development and execution of the site MI program for stationary assets (piping, vessels, tanks, RV’s, etc)
  • Responsible for the MI coating program
  • Responsible for overall cost tracking of the MI program to meet or exceed the plan
  • Accountable for driving timely closure of repair recommendations that result from MI inspections
  • Accountable for developing and maintaining Plant MI procedures to ensure the latest failure modes and technologies are being assessed in order to maximizes OEE from unplanned breakdowns

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 10+ years of experience in plant reliability and maintenance processes and reliability technology tools such as Failure Mode Effects Analysis & Root Cause Failure Analysis etc.
  • Proficient in Six Sigma tools and Lean Concepts for business process improvement
  • Strong skills in SAP-PM, Microsoft Office, and GE APM (Meridium)

Overview of the Team:

You will be leading a diversified group of four (4) AdvanSix Mechanical Engineers, one (1) Mechanical Planner, one (1) Mechanical Front Line Supervisor, and six (6) to eight (8) contractors.  Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must because you will be interacting not only with AdvanSix employees across the entire site, but also a multitude of contractors.
