The soil pH of my fields ranges from 5.8 to 6.3. Can ammonium sulfate improve phosphorus availability even under these slightly acidic conditions?

Answer:

Yes. Since calcium phosphate may precipitate when soil pH is more than or equal to 5.5, ammonium sulfate’s acidifying effect may help improve phosphorus availability in your soils.
