How does the Solvita® soil health test compare with traditional soil tests?
The Solvita® test measures carbon dioxide respiration from microbial activity as an indicator of soil health, while traditional soil tests measure the percentage of organic matter. These are both good indicators of soil health and therefore correlate well. The main difference lies in the fact that traditional soil tests also measure concentrations of the different plant-essential nutrients. In other words, traditional soil tests are more comprehensive tests.
